MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Winfred Abrams, an interventional pain and spine physician, said his work is centered on helping patients manage chronic pain while improving their long-term quality of life, often without surgery or opioid medications.
Abrams explained that many patients are able to schedule appointments directly without first needing a referral from another doctor. He said his practice focuses on treating back and neck pain through a variety of non-surgical approaches, particularly alternatives to opioid medications.
“The first step is seeing someone and not waiting too long to be evaluated for these conditions,” Abrams said. “We can help prevent them from getting worse while also reducing current pain.
