Some businesses and even some of their customers were left scrambling last week after Gilbert Fire and Rescue issued an emergency closure order and evacuated a strip mall at 1111 North Gilbert Road.
Stating the building “poses an immediate safety risk, necessitating a full evacuation and closure,” Gilbert Fire said the unidentified property owner was notified of the evacuation.
