Scottsdale’s dining scene welcomed a new coastal-inspired concept this spring when Starfish Hospitality Group officially opened the doors to Starfish Scottsdale, marking the first expansion outside of California.
Located in McCormick Ranch, the new restaurant brings the flavors and energy that helped build a following in Orange County, introducing Valley diners to an expansive menu centered around shareable plates inspired by the coastal cuisines of Thailand, Korea, Vietnam, China, and Japan.
“Since deciding to expand into Arizona, we’ve been working extremely hard behind-the-scenes to bring Starfish to life in Scottsdale,” said Gretchen McConnell, co-owner. “We’re thrilled to announce our opening and invite the community to experience our dedication to freshness, quality, ambiance and service firsthand. The menu leans into variety, offering more than 70 shareable dishes designed for groups and adventurous diners alike. Signature offerings include Lobster Macadamia Roll, Braised BBQ Pork Buns, Thai Curry Chicken, and Candy Dragon Prawns, alongside handcrafted cocktails, sake, and wines.
The Scottsdale location also introduced a dramatic redesign of the existing space. Spanning 5,200 square feet, the restaurant combines indoor and outdoor dining with a large patio outfitted in lush tropical fabrics, custom booths, and design elements intended to evoke the coastal regions of Southeast Asia.
