In a move to tamp down irresponsible e-bike riding on Gilbert streets, Town Council last week approved new regulations that took effect immediately because its vote was unanimous.
The ordinance includes specific riding and age restrictions, speed limits, helmet requirements for anyone under 18 regardless of what kind of two-wheeled veicle they’re riding as well as clauses spelling out parental liability and businesses’ responsibilities.
