Car crashes into west Phoenix motel; 1 injured

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A driver was arrested, and another person was injured after a vehicle crashed into a Motel 6 in west Phoenix late Tuesday night.

Phoenix police responded to reports of a car that crashed into a Motel 6 near Thomas Road and Interstate 17 around 9:30 p.m.

Police said initial information found that the driver of a Nissan Rouge was driving recklessly and drove toward two Motel 6 employees in the parking lot. The employees were not hit by the vehicle, which crashed into the wall of a room.

One person was injured and trapped inside the room due to the crash, police said. Firefighters responded to rescue that person, who was then hospitalized in an unknown condition…
