PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Authorities recovered a person’s body from a canal in west Phoenix overnight.
Phoenix fire crews were called to the area of 23rd Avenue and Indian School Road around midnight for reports of a person floating face-down in the canal.
When they arrived, fire crews found a man who was floating in the canal and not moving for an extended period of time. The man was pronounced dead, and crews worked into Wednesday morning to remove his body from the canal.
Phoenix police are investigating the circumstances around the man’s death. He has not been publicly identified…
