Man arrested after dogs left starving in crates at Phoenix apartment complex

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man is facing charges after five dogs were found abandoned for about a week at a Phoenix apartment complex, court documents released Thursday said.

According to police, officers were on another call when someone flagged them down because five dogs in crates were outside an apartment near 40th Street and McDowell Road.

Officers discovered three dogs were in one crate while two were in another, with one appearing to be barely moving.

Court paperwork said the dogs had visible ribs from not getting enough to eat and days-old crusted feces covering both the crates and the dogs…
