Controversial apartment plan heading to Gilbert Council

Later this summer, Gilbert Town Council will have to settle a rare disagreement between planning staff and the Planning Commission over a 121-unit apartment complex vehemently opposed by Chandler residents.

The Gilbert Planning Commission earlier this month voted 3-2 to deny the developer’s rezoning request for 4.9 acres on the southeast corner of Gilbert and Germann roads.
