A former Arizona tech CEO is facing federal embezzlement charges after authorities accused him of taking at least $1.5 million from the startup he helped run and using the money to finance a luxury lifestyle for a woman in Miami.

FOX 10 Phoenix reporter Brian Webb reported that Jeffrey Gottfurcht, the former CEO of Cyber Dive in Mesa, is accused of draining company money while allegedly buying expensive gifts that included a Lamborghini, a four-bedroom home, and a diamond ring.

The alleged recipient has been described in court documents as Gottfurcht’s escort girlfriend. FOX 10 did not identify her because she has not been charged with a crime…
