Fugitive taken into custody after crash on Phoenix freeway

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A fugitive is in federal custody after a crash on the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway in Phoenix on Thursday afternoon.

It happened just after 3 p.m. on the westbound side near 24th Street.

Details are limited, but the Mesa Police Department said it was helping the FBI’s Safe Trails Task Force to catch a wanted suspect.
