PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A busy intersection is closed after a deadly crash in west Phoenix early Monday morning.
The crash involving a white Kia and semi-truck was reported near 51st Avenue and Van Buren Street around 2 a.m. A Phoenix police sergeant on scene confirmed to Arizona’s Family that at least one person was killed in the collision.
Arizona’s Family crews witnessed the Kia lodged underneath the semi-truck, with severe damage to its driver side. Authorities say the semi-truck driver stayed at the scene to speak with authorities.
