Scottsdale Buys 15,000 Acre-Feet of Water Credits for $8.25 Million

Scottsdale’s City Council has locked in a major water-supply purchase that could shape the city’s development capacity for years to come.

The council voted 7-0 to approve Resolution No. 13702, authorizing a contract with Vidler Water Company to purchase 15,000 acre-feet of Long-Term Storage Credits held in the Harquahala Valley, for $8.25 million.
