PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Police have identified the man who was found on fire near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport late last month.
Phoenix police shared that the victim was identified as Calvin Burns, 71.
Just after midnight on June 26, officers received reports of a body on fire near a canal at 44th Street and Washington Street, just north of Sky Harbor. Firefighters extinguished the flames and pronounced Burns dead at the scene.
Burns’s remains were handed over to the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s office. However, his cause of death and whether he was alive or already dead when he was lit on fire still remains unclear…
