Scratching, growling and heavy movement coming from their attic were enough to convince one Scottsdale, Ariz., homeowner that something far larger than a mouse had found its way into her home.
After several days of hearing the noises, Karen, who asked that her last name be omitted, called Critter Evictors in July 2026 to inspect the attic and identify the source. To her surprise, the wildlife removal and critter control company soon discovered a mother bobcat had turned the attic into a den for her kittens, creating one of the more unusual calls the team has handled.
“While it isn’t something we see every day, Arizona is home to a wide variety of wildlife, so we’re always prepared for unusual situations,” Critter Evictors owner Verner Swenson, 36, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “We stayed calm, assessed the situation and developed a plan that prioritized the safety of both the family and the animals.”…
