Arizona troopers nabbed multiple CMVs for driving for miles in left lane of I-10 construction zone

Arizona troopers took enforcement action against commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers for lingering in the left lane of an interstate construction zone.

On August 5, 2026, Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) Highway Patrol troopers conducted traffic enforcement in an I-10 construction zone between Phoenix and Tucson.

As part of the enforcement, troopers “took enforcement action” against five commercial vehicles after “each CMV was observed traveling in the left lane for distances ranging from one and a half to over four miles.”

AZDPS said that the CMVs were in violation of the “commercial trucks – right lane only” requirement…
