A longtime Tempe coffee shop has closed its doors, ending a 24-year run that made it a familiar gathering place for local residents.
Gold Bar Espresso served its final customers on July 26, bringing an end to more than two decades of business at the Tempe cafe. The closure was reported among several notable restaurant and food-service shutdowns across the Phoenix area in July.

Gold Bar Espresso was located near the intersection of McClintock Drive and Southern Avenue at 3141 S. McClintock Drive. The independently owned coffee shop dates back to 1994, according to local information about the business.
