TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — Authorities are preparing to pull a body out of Tempe Town Lake after an overnight incident early Monday.
At about 1 a.m., first responders were called to the lake on reports of a person who went underwater near the Rural Road bridge, according to the Tempe Police Department.
Police and fire crews searched the area before shifting the effort from a rescue to a recovery operation. Fire crews are expected to dive for the body around 8 a.m. Monday morning.
It’s unclear how the person ended up in the water. The investigation is ongoing…
