The homicide trial of an Arizona man accused in a fatal drunken driving crash could be postponed.
Case Wade Russell, 46, of Gilbert, Arizona, is charged with homicide by vehicle, DWI, and open container in the Dec. 22, 2025, crash on U.S. Highway 491 that killed Richard Morales, of Cortez.
Morales was a nurse at Northern Navajo Medical Center. He was driving home around 4:56 p.m. on U.S. Highway 491 near milepost 95 when his yellow Veloster was struck head on by a 2015 GMC pickup reportedly driven by Russell, according to the criminal complaint…
