PHOENIX (AZFamily) — It’s another First Alert Weather Day for extreme heat. An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect until 8 p.m. tonight, with a forecast high of 109 today in the Valley.
Temperatures will gradually begin to decrease over the weekend and into next week as high pressure shifts away from Arizona. This will also bring in a bit more monsoon moisture, with some help from a trough of low pressure moving onshore to our northwest.
