State Route 51 lane restrictions near Camelback Road lifted after 7 weeks

For the first time in nearly two months, motorists on State Route 51 in central Phoenix don’t have to worry about squeezing over to the right.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said Monday the northbound lane restrictions near Camelback Road that started July 27 have been lifted.

During the seven weeks of restrictions, which reduced traffic to two lanes, crews replaced about 700 feet of damaged pavement and repaired SR 51’s drainage system…
