Woman hospitalized with burns after Maryvale home catches on fire

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A woman is recovering in the hospital after a home went up in flames in the Maryvale neighborhood of Phoenix Wednesday morning.

Phoenix firefighters were called to fight the fire at the home near 91st and Campbell avenues shortly before 9 a.m. Crews found heavy smoke and flames pouring out of the home.

Firefighters used hose lines to attack the blaze as other crewmembers searched inside. Ladder crews then climbed up to the roof and cut a hole to ventilate the home, allowing the smoke and flames to escape.

One woman sustained burn injuries and was taken to a Valley burn center, where she remains in stable condition. No firefighters were hurt…
