SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Firefighters rushed to rescue a group of hikers with dogs suffering from heat exhaustion on a Scottsdale mountain late Saturday morning.
Around 11 a.m., first responders were called to Lost Dog Wash Trailhead in the McDowell Mountains on reports of multiple people suffering from heat exhaustion.
Crews were making their way to two women, their 13-year-old son and two dogs who ran out of water on the trail around 11:30 a.m., according to the Scottsdale Fire Department. Firefighters plan to treat them on the trail before helping them back to the trailhead…
