The Town of Gilbert has relaunched its high consumption notification program and reactivated continuous water-use alerts as part of broader efforts to promote water conservation and help residents identify potential water waste.
The high consumption notification program identifies customer accounts with unusually high water usage. Customers will receive email notifications when water use increases significantly from the previous month, allowing them to investigate possible leaks or other causes of increased consumption.
Gilbert also has resumed continuous consumption alerts. Under the program, the town will contact customers whose water use remains at or above 20 gallons per hour for 36 consecutive hours.
