PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A pedestrian is in the hospital after being hit by a minivan in central Phoenix early Wednesday morning.
Around 5:30 a.m., officers were called to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian near 27th and Campbell avenues, just west of Interstate 17 and south of Camelback Road. Police found the victim seriously hurt, and they were rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Police say the driver involved stayed at the scene, but it’s unclear if impairment was a factor in the crash.
