MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — First responders are working to recover a vehicle after a crash sent it into an East Valley canal Friday morning.
Shortly after 10 a.m., first responders were called to the crash near Signal Butte Road and Dragoon Avenue, south of Broadway Road, in Mesa.
Details remain limited, and officers are actively working the scene, according to the Mesa Police Department. Specialized rescue teams are working to pull the vehicle from water more than 10 feet deep.
Firefighters say the vehicle has been submerged for more than an hour, and crews have not found or seen any sign of the driver in the canal…
