MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — Two 19-year-old men have been arrested in connection with a shooting that left four people injured following a gang-related dispute earlier this week, Mesa police announced.
Jonathan Valladares Mojica and Mark Cortez Garcia are both facing multiple felony charges tied to the Tuesday night shooting south of McKellips Road and near Center Street.
According to court documents, Garcia and Mojica were circling a home in the area in a Jeep when two people heading to a store in a truck took notice. The Jeep cut off the truck and forced it to stop, at which point Mojica yelled at both occupants to get out while shouting gang identifiers, police said.
An argument broke out, and investigators said Mojica pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the pair. Two more people came out of a nearby home after learning the occupants were being threatened at gunpoint…
