Will 7 Brew open a coffee drive-thru in your neighborhood?

The last two months have been filled with twists and turns in the fate of dozens of shuttered Salad and Go locations across Arizona and three other states. On Tuesday morning, a Texas bankruptcy court judge approved the sale of 63 sites to the Arkansas-based coffee shop chain 7 Brew.

The $123.5 million sale includes the majority of Salad and Go’s locations. The homegrown salad chain, which was founded in Gilbert in 2013, filed for bankruptcy on Aug. 4 and closed all of its restaurants in Arizona and Nevada the next day. That kicked off a tumultuous time and an uncertain future for the small drive-thru buildings.

Salad and Go was sold to a private equity firm in 2021 and expanded rapidly over the years. By 2025, the chain known for affordable salads, wraps and frozen strawberry lemonade was in Arizona, Oklahoma, Nevada and Texas.
