Former Rattlers Star Randy Gatewood Brings Randizzle’s Burger Bar To Downtown Mesa

Randizzle’s Burger Bar, the Valley food truck known for its smashburgers and custom sauces, is opening its first-ever storefront in downtown Mesa as soon as October — beating its own planned Phoenix location to the punch. The new restaurant is taking over the former Outcast Doughnuts space at 104 W. Main Street, on the northwest corner of Main Street and MacDonald, and a hiring event is already on the calendar for next week.

The Mesa opening was confirmed after Randizzle’s signed a lease for the space and announced the news on Instagram, according to KTAR News. Per that report, the restaurant could open in less than three weeks if inspections go as planned, since the location was an existing restaurant space that was already almost completely equipped. As Mouth by Southwest notes, that turnkey setup is exactly why Gatewood is able to open the Mesa storefront ahead of his originally planned Phoenix restaurant.

A Turnkey Space With a Recent History

The Main Street address isn’t new to downtown Mesa’s dining scene. The same storefront was previously home to Outcast Doughnuts, a layered-doughnut bakery that operated there from June 2023 until July 2026 before shifting to a drive-thru concept in Scottsdale, the same Mouth by Southwest report states. That vacancy left behind much of the infrastructure a new restaurant would otherwise have to build from scratch, letting Randizzle’s skip the construction delays that typically slow a first brick-and-mortar launch.

Randizzle’s isn’t walking into the space without a track record. The food truck won the Best Food Truck Experience award at the Arizona Restaurant Association’s 2024 Foodist Awards, per the same account, a recognition that reflects the dedicated Valley following it built around its smashburgers and custom sauces before ever considering a permanent location.
