Vigilante justice or self-defense? North Scottsdale man deemed flight risk after shooting salesman

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — A Maricopa County judge denied a travel request Wednesday morning for a North Scottsdale homeowner accused of shooting a door-to-door salesman outside his home earlier this month, ruling the man is a flight risk.

Patrick McBride faces charges in connection with the Sept. 13 shooting that left 21-year-old Juan Hoffman hospitalized and unable to walk.
