Arizona Biltmore and Wrigley Mansion Reunite Under Shared Ownership

Nearly 100 years after William Wrigley Jr. helped establish Arizona Biltmore and then built Wrigley Mansion on the hill above it, the two Phoenix landmarks are officially back under the same ownership and management.

Wrigley Mansion is joining Arizona Biltmore under ownership by Henderson Park, in a joint venture with Western & Southern Financial Group, and funds managed by Hamilton Lane, South Street Partners, and Pyramid Global Hospitality. Pyramid Global Hospitality will oversee operations at both properties, bringing a neighboring pair of icons into one shared vision for hospitality, dining, and experiences.

A Shared History

Arizona Biltmore opened in 1929, and Wrigley, who helped establish and owned the resort, commissioned the Mansion in 1931 as a 50th wedding anniversary gift for his wife, Ada. Perched atop a 100-foot knoll, the Mansion has watched over the resort ever since, taking in sweeping 360-degree views of the Valley.

The Mansion entered a new chapter in 1992, when Geordie and Jamie Hormel stepped in to prevent the Mansion’s demolition and led its restoration. It completed a renovation in 2021 and now houses three dining venues, social and meeting spaces, and a ballroom used for private dining, weddings, and celebrations.

Down the hill, the 39-acre Arizona Biltmore still delivers the Frank Lloyd Wright-influenced architecture and old Hollywood glamour it became famous for, set against the backdrop of Piestewa Peak.
