PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Arizona’s Family (KTVK 3TV and KPHO CBS 5), Gray Media’s television duopoly in Phoenix, announced today that accomplished broadcast journalists Charly Edsitty and Christine Stanwood have joined its newsroom, expanding the station group’s reporting strength, enterprise storytelling, and daily news coverage across the Valley.
Edsitty, who is Diné (Navajo), returns home to Phoenix television to co-anchor Good Morning Arizona alongside Colton Shone weekday mornings from 4:30 to 6 a.m. Their pairing marks a historic national milestone as the first known all-Native American anchor team on a commercial television newscast in the country.
A Glendale native and Baylor University graduate, Edsitty began her broadcast journalism career in Phoenix, working her way up from planning producer to on-air reporter.
