Jarin and Jessika Schlievert were high school sweethearts who married nine years after they met.
The Mesa couple very much wanted children but encountered difficulty conceiving. They eventually resorted to in vitro fertilization, and Jessika became pregnant with twin boys.
They picked out the babies’ names – Asher and Oliver. But Asher died in utero and Oliver was born in December 2024, prematurely at 33 weeks of pregnancy.
