PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man is dead after being hit by a driver who had some sort of medical episode, according to officials with the Phoenix Police Department.
Officers were called to reports of the crash around 6:15 p.m. near 23rd Avenue and Pinnacle Peak Road and found a man unresponsive with serious injuries. First responders with the Phoenix Fire Department rushed the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.
The driver stayed at the scene, officials said. The initial investigation showed that he suffered some sort of medical episode before hitting the pedestrian. The driver’s condition is not clear…
