Preston Lord murder defendant booked into jail, held on $2 million bond

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A defendant charged in the death of Queen Creek teen Preston Lord is back behind bars after a string of arrests while he was out awaiting trial.

Talyn Vigil was booked into jail overnight Wednesday on charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping and aggravated robbery. He is being held on a $2 million cash-only bond.

At a 2 a.m. court hearing, the judge ruled on a motion to modify Vigil’s release conditions.

If Vigil posts the $2 million bond, he’ll return to the same release conditions as before: electronic monitoring installed before release, house arrest and alcohol and drug testing…
