Black Family Hospitality looks poised to cement its Terry Black’s Barbecue as an ambitious and expansive national restaurant chain with a landmark property purchase. LevRose Commercial Real Estate announced this week it has successfully brokered an $11.2 million sale of a site in Scottsdale, Ariz., which will house the state’s first location of the popular Texas-based restaurant.
The Black family’s latest purchase is a 0.74-acre property at 3925 N. Brown Avenue in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. It’s a major nightlife hub and features a lot of retail and walkable streets. In a Tuesday statement, LevRose CRE partner Danielle Davis said the acquisition was a unique opportunity.
“Its full-block scale, visibility and location made it an exceptionally rare offering. We’re excited to see Terry Black’s BBQ bring new energy to Scottsdale as it enters the Arizona market,” Davis said.
Scottsdale would mark the second out-of-Texas location for Terry Black’s. The first is in Nashville, Tenn., which is expected to open in early 2027. Black Family Hospitality has yet to respond to Chron’s request for comment…
