Scottsdale’s dining scene welcomes a new restaurant inspired by the glamour of Hollywood’s golden age. Drake’s Hollywood, known for its Italian American cuisine, steakhouse favorites, and signature martinis, will open in Old Town Scottsdale on Friday, Nov. 6. The 8,000-sq.-ft. restaurant marks the brand’s largest location nationwide and will introduce an upscale dining experience, a private members-only club, and weekly live entertainment.
Located along Scottsdale Road at First Street, Drake’s Hollywood is the latest concept from Vandelay Companies, led by CEO Hunter Pond. The Scottsdale restaurant combines classic American steakhouse traditions with an extensive cocktail program and interiors inspired by the 1930s and 1940s.
“Scottsdale is the perfect stage for our next chapter,” says Pond, in a press release. “This city’s energy, style, and culinary scene make it a natural fit for Drake’s. We’re excited to introduce our take on elevated American dining, where every night feels like a special occasion.”
A Taste of Old Hollywood
Designed by Pond in collaboration with architecture firm DXU, Drake’s Hollywood draws inspiration from the Art Deco architecture of New York and the Hollywood Regency style of Los Angeles. The restaurant features plush red leather booths, a central circular bar, vintage-inspired murals, and hand-painted portraits of Hollywood legends. Mahogany, burl wood, lacquered finishes, polished brass accents, and chandeliers complement the space’s black-and-white photography. Guests enter through a valet-only entrance, while two fully private dining rooms accommodate intimate gatherings, celebrations, and special occasions.
