No. 2 Chandler absolutely destroyed No. 6 Pinnacle this week in a huge 6A matchup, laying down a marker that every team in the conference needs to pay attention to. This wasn’t just a win, it was a statement as the regular season winds down for a chunk of the Arizona Interscholastic Association conferences for Oct. 29-30, 2026.
6A Power Shift and 5A Rivalry Action
Chandler’s dominant performance over Pinnacle in 6A is the kind of result that makes you stop scrolling. When a No. 2 team rolls over a No. 6 like that, you know they’re not messing around. What does that mean for the rest of 6A? It tells them Chandler is locked in and ready to make a deep run. This is exactly the kind of momentum you want to see heading into the final stretch of the regular season or, for some, the start of playoff action.
Meanwhile, the 5A conference served up some serious drama with two key matchups that had Goodyear and Scottsdale buzzing. Desert Edge at Millennium was a clash of Goodyear rivals, a game where bragging rights are as important as the win itself. Over in Scottsdale, Notre Dame squared off against Desert Mountain, another top-tier battle. These are the games that define a season, building rivalries and testing every player on the field. You’ve got to respect the grind these teams are putting in.
Season Climaxes and Playoff Throttle
This week marks a major turning point across the Arizona high school football landscape. For the 3A, 4A, and 5A conferences, it’s the end of the regular season. Every snap, every tackle, every touchdown has led to this point, deciding who gets to keep playing and who has to pack it up. That’s some serious pressure, isn’t it?
But for the 2A and 1A conferences, it’s already playoff time! The stakes are sky-high, and it’s win-or-go-home from here on out. We even got a shout-out for D’Mari Bryant, who has been an absolute force behind Millennium football’s success. Guys like D’Mari are the ones who step up when it matters most, driving their teams forward…
