Gilbert, Arizona to Host Inaugural LPGA Ford Championship: Local Golf Enthusiasts Brace for Excitement

The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) is preparing for its inaugural visit to Gilbert, Arizona. The Seville Golf and Country Club will host the LPGA’s Ford Championship presented by KCC Tournament from March 28-31. The event will see 144 top golfers from around the globe competing for a $2 million prize. LPGA Commissioner Mollie Marcoux Samaan is optimistic about the tournament’s reception in Gilbert.

Alena Sharp, a veteran tour member and Seville Country Club member, will participate in the tournament. Sharp anticipates playing in front of her home crowd with a mix of excitement and nervousness. She expects her knowledge of the course to be advantageous.

This tournament will be the LPGA Tour’s 71st visit to Arizona since 1950. Marcoux Samaan commended Arizona’s favorable weather, golf enthusiasm, and high-quality golf courses, highlighting the state’s rich golfing history.

Various ticket packages for the Ford Championship presented by KCC Tournament are available. These include complimentary tickets for military members and young fans. Single-day tickets cost $40, and a tournament pass is $95. Current and former United States Military members can get free tickets on GOVX.com. Fans aged 17 and under receive free admission with an adult ticket purchase.
