PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) – A man crashed his truck into a dry canal and it ended up landing on its roof, killing him in north Phoenix on Tuesday. It happened around 4:45 p.m. in the area of 18th Avenue and Hatcher Road, which is north of Dunlap Avenue. Police said for some reason, 43-year-old Antonio Lopez-Cortes drove his truck through the canal fencing and the truck landed upside down.
