Mesa police look for teen girl missing for a week

The Mesa Police Department is asking the public for help in locating Ava Huppenthal, who was last seen about 7 p.m. April 24 near Mesa Drive and Broadway Road.

She is 14 with brown hair and eyes, 5-feet-6 and 115 pounds, police said.

She has been diagnosed with autism.

Authorities said they don’t know what she was wearing and may have colored her hair or may be wearing a red wig. She may be traveling with a dog.

She likes to frequent parks and fast-food restaurants, police said.
