PHOENIX – Police said a suspect involved in a deadly shooting that occurred in west Phoenix fled the scene before officers’ arrival, the city’s police department said. Phoenix police responded to a neighborhood near McDowell Road and 51st Avenue for a shooting on Wednesday morning. Officers found Jose Olvera, 62, suffering from a critical injury at the scene.
