East Valley could see rainfall, experience gusty winds with Labor Day weekend storms

PHOENIX – Storms are developing east of the Phoenix metro area, but only a lucky few will see rain accumulate this holiday weekend, the National Weather Service says. The National Weather Service in Phoenix posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that storm chances will continue Sunday and bring gusty winds to the Valley. The most likely time for isolated showers in the metro area will be between 3 and 8 p.m.
