PHOENIX – Last year, the Arizona Department of Health Services said 26 children, 17 or younger, died due to an opioid overdose. This year, two local teens were saved from becoming part of this data, thanks to a courageous act by a peer. It’s inspiring, and a great teaching moment for young people everywhere.
