At least three bicyclists were reported to be seriously hurt following a car crash this morning near the Arizona State University Tempe campus.
Officers responded to a collision between a vehicle and group of bicyclists near 15th St. and College Ave., Tempe police said.
According to authorities, the driver remained on scene and “is cooperative”; alcohol does not appear to be a contributing factor. The investigation was ongoing.
Three bicyclists were transported to a hospital and Tempe Fire and Medical Rescue were on scene providing additional medical aid.
Tempe police urged drivers to avoid the area as College Avenue remained closed indefinitely.
