Arizona State Fair fun continues despite heat. Here’s how vendors are staying cool

While the start of the Arizona State Fair typically signals fall in metro Phoenix, the record-breaking heat is keeping the Valley in an endless summer.

The Arizona State Fair, which runs through Oct. 27, offers the classic fair experience: unique foods, thrilling rides, a petting zoo and other experiences.

What makes the state fair different though are the various indoor areas and cooling zones for fairgoers looking to beat the extreme heat lingering in metro Phoenix.

The Arizona Republic talked with Arizona State Fair representative Brianda Martinez about how organizers are “diligently working” to keep guests and vendors safe and comfortable.

How Arizona State Fair vendors keep cool

There are various “hydration stations” around the fairgrounds where water can be refilled for free. According to the website, guests can bring one factory-sealed water bottle or one empty reusable bottle per person.
