This month there have already been a number of restaurants to either close or announced closures. Typically, this is a quieter time of the year for restaurants shutting down, but it still does happen. However, where one closes, another opens, and while one or two of these were BBQ restaurants – leaving a hole in the surprisingly thin world of grilled and smoked meats – a new BBQ restaurant is moving in. So, if you’re in the greater Phoenix area and looking for a new barbecue restaurant to stop by, you’re in luck.
Central BBQ House isn’t your traditional barbecue restaurant. At least not in the way of the southeastern style of grilling and smoking meats. Instead, this is a Korean, all-you-can-eat, BBQ restaurant, that allows you to grill up the meats right at the table. With a centralized, table-top “grill” in the middle of your table, you can place your strips of meat and cook each one to perfection while you enjoy the company of friends or family at the table.
The new location at 5350 South Lakeshore Drive in Tempe had a soft opening last weekend on October 12. This was slightly delayed as it was originally going to have a soft opening last month, but as it happens with setting up restaurants, there were a few delays. However, now it is fully up and running.
