The Award-Winning Distillery, Arizona Distilling Co., Is Closing Its Doors for Good

According to a new report by the Phoenix New Times, the award-winning local spirit producer, Arizona Distilling Co., is closing its doors for good. The popular distillery, located in Tempe at University Drive and Roosevelt Street, first opened in 2012 and became the first company in the state to distill liquor since prohibition legally. Sunday, October 27 will be the last day to enjoy a beverage at the establishment.

The company is known for creating popular spirits such as Desert Durum Wheat Whiskey and Commerce Gin, which both use locally sourced grain and local botanicals, respectively.

Even though the location is closing in Tempe, the company has another location in Mesa that will remain open.
