Tempe recently announced that the city’s Data Enterprise & Analytics Team was recognized as a Top 100 Data & Analytics Team by OnCon Icon, an organization that celebrates the achievements of top organizations worldwide.
Award winners were selected by a public vote, according to a city release, and Tempe’s Data & Analytics Team was selected as a winner for demonstrating success and positive impact on the city, making strong contributions through thought leadership, being innovative in their projects, and exhibiting exceptional leadership.
Some examples of Tempe’s work in Data & Analytics include the Wastewater BioIntel Program, Performance Portal, Homeless Solutions Hub and Public Art Map. As a Top 100 Team, Tempe stands among a list of winning organizations with household names, such as Walmart, Mattel, Microsoft and more, the release stated.
Chief Data & Analytics Officer Stephanie Dietrick said in the release that Tempe uses data to inform policy and funding decisions, improve services, create operational efficiencies and engage residents.
