Through Sunday, Dec. 17, anyone can take home a new pet from the Arizona Animal Welfare League for free.
The AAWL waives adoption fees on all animals older than 1 year at its main-Phoenix and its Chandler locations.
The main campus is at 25 N 40 th Street in Phoenix, The Chandler adoption center is on the second floor of the Chandler Fashion Center’s main mall.
This adoption event is sponsored through the Bisselll Pet Foundation’s “Empty the Shelters” initiative . Many local shelters are at or near full capacity.

AAWL currently has more than five bonded pairs in its care — more than it’s ever had at one time.
