Chick-fil-A’s new Broadway Road at Priest Drive location will officially begin serving guests on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
The restaurant joins the 46 existing Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Phoenix metro, fighting hunger through the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, an initiative that donates surplus food to local organizations in need, a press release explained.
Since 2015, all Chick-fil-A locations in the Phoenix area, have participated in the Shared Table program, collectively donating enough surplus food to provide 669,754 meals to support the local community.
This opening marks local owner-operator Brandon Barrett’s second restaurant in the Tempe community and employs more than 200 full and part time team members between the two restaurants. Barrett also serves as the local owner-operator of Chick-fil-A University Drive at Mill Avenue, which he will continue to operate alongside his new restaurant.
Operating hours are from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Chick-fil-A, Inc. will also be donating $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts in the greater Phoenix area. The restaurant will honor 100 local heroes in the community with free Chick-fil-A for a year.
